Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Spark Developer with a strong Java background to join our team supporting a leading client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable data processing applications using Apache Spark and core Java. This role is focused on development in Spark and Java.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable applications using Apache Spark and Java
• Build high-performance data processing pipelines and distributed systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver robust solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and scalability issues
• Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall IT experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark (Core, SQL, DataFrames)
• Solid programming expertise in Java
• Experience working with large-scale distributed data processing systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms

Nice to Know

• Candidates must be from a development background
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus
• Familiarity with big data ecosystems (Hadoop, Hive, etc.)
• Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization in Spark
