The Application Analyst Intermediate is tasked with offering technical support for intricate clinical and/or business applications to enhance their overall operation and confirm they meet the organization's objectives. With moderate supervision, this job involves collecting, evaluating, and analyzing user requirements, as well as implementing, improving, managing, and troubleshooting clinical and/or business applications.

Essential Job Function

• Works in tandem with internal and external technical groups and end-users to confirm that applications and external systems cater to the clinical and business needs of the organization during the system construction and deployment phases.
• Evaluates extensively the workflows within end user departments, strategies for data collection, specifications of reports, and technical challenges impacting design and development decisions, engaging in elaborate qualitative and quantitative analysis of collected data and details as part of application requirement gathering.
• Converts the business and medical functionalities into system setups and operational processes.
• Develops and runs test scripts to gauge the performance of applications, new releases, integrations, and user acceptance.
• Documents examination results, design schematics, alteration management, system challenges, and internal processes according to departmental guidelines.
• Responsible for delivering technical support for complex applications, including triage and troubleshooting activities, while monitoring system efficiency and data integrity. Ensures timely escalation of any issues for resolution.
• Stays current on cutting-edge technical ideas and their implementation in the healthcare field.
• Assists in the setup and maintenance of systems sourced from external vendors.
• Has the essential background and understanding to guarantee the integration of all aspects of the application with the other cross-functional applications used by the organization.
• Executes extra responsibilities as directed.

Education

• Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field

Experience

• Required: 2 years

Licensure/Certification/Listing

• Required: Clinical employees must maintain licensure appropriate to clinical education and training, without lapse. For Cone HealthLink (CHL) / Epic applications, must satisfactorily complete required Epic certification testing within the timeframe specified in the Epic Certification commitment policy.
