About
Distribution Standards Application Architect typically assists in the design and development of software applications. They work closely with senior architects, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into architectural blueprints.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the design and implementation of application architectures.
- Developing prototypes to demonstrate concepts and ideas.
- Collaborating with development teams to ensure architectural integrity.
- Conducting code reviews and providing feedback to developers.
- Identifying and addressing technical debt and architectural issues.
- Participating in the evaluation and selection of technologies and tools.
- Documenting architectural designs and decisions.
An Application Architect should have a strong understanding of software development principles and practices, as well as experience with programming languages and technologies relevant to the organization's tech stack. They should also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements
Required Skill sets
- Experience modernizing legacy technologies with skills in migrating MS Access database and Oracle AS8 into IFS.
- Ability to develop prototypes and proofs of concept for IFS and integrated systems.
- Maintain existing systems built from SQL, Oracle and MS Access databases.
- Ability to enhance and automate AutoCAD tools using Lisp and VBA.
- 2 or more years building and maintain Power BI dashboards with multi source data integration.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure system interoperability and architectural integrity.
- Identify and resolve technical debt across legacy and modern systems.
- Experience evaluating and recommending tools for automating repetitive functions.
- Document architectures, integrations, and technical decisions for maintainability.
- Need Long History of working with End User to Create Projects
Education
- HS Diploma
- IT Systems Management Degree Preferred
Nice to have
- Experience in AutoCAD usage and installation, Power BI Gateway installation and maintenance, Visual Basic programming, experience integrating Adobe Pro and Nitro Pro into applications.
Other Information
- Contract: 12 months with Potential to Extend/Convert
- Hours Flexible - avg work Hours 9-5pm
