At First National Bank we are looking for an Architect engineer! This on‑site position is located at Virginia Avenue 216, Pittsburgh, United States and requires a local candidate or one willing to relocate. Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology supporting various applications
- Proficient in designing end‑to‑end application architecture
- Extensive knowledge of logical, physical, and reference architecture design
- Ability to create process flows, data flow diagrams, and solution blueprints
- Experience with diagramming tools such as Draw.io, Visio, or similar
- Skills in aligning architecture to business capabilities across various lines of business
- Strong SQL, SSIS, and SQL Server proficiency is advantageous
- Familiarity with data modeling at conceptual, logical, and physical levels is a plus
- Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure is preferred
- Knowledge of Java Architecture, API, and integration patterns is desirable
- Awareness of SSO, SAML, and identity and access management is beneficial
- Understanding of AI/ML solution patterns is advantageous
- Experience in financial domains, including governance, risks, compliance, finance, accounting, HR, and treasury is preferred
- Capability to guide teams through architectural decisions and trade‑offs
Responsibilities
- Provide top‑level technical and application expertise to multiple end‑user groups
- Monitor system health, review logs and reports, and escalate issues to vendors
- Conduct proactive and preventative maintenance
- Utilize available data to enhance application performance
- Design server applications and performance metrics for monitoring system health
- Define system requirements and objectives based on business needs and performance goals
- Identify, explain, resolve, and prevent application performance issues
- Recommend improvements for business processing requirements and design criteria during installations and upgrades
- Provide technical consulting on the business implications of application performance
- Lead strategic planning efforts for the development of the application platform to support organizational growth
- Communicate effectively with business users and technology teams
- Prevent reliability and performance issues in business applications
- Suggest actions to technology partners to achieve business goals
- Analyze and modify complex processes for addressing capacity and performance issues
- Collaborate with management to develop tactical plans that meet objectives
- Independently navigate defined project tasks
- Review, discuss, design, and implement application changes
- Collaborate with technology, project management, and business partners
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and consultants
- Lead and coordinate team activities, assign work, and contribute to performance evaluations
- Undertake other related duties and projects as necessary
