Your Role And Responsibilities
As an Application Architect, you will design applications that automate business processes and meet business needs, resulting in designs that may run on multiple platforms and comprise multiple software packages and custom components. You will define best practices in the critical evaluation and selection of software components, hardware requirements, and development methods. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Design Applications: Design applications that meet business needs, including evaluating and selecting software components, hardware requirements, and development methods.
- Ensure Quality and Performance: Ensure applications-related quality, performance, availability, scalability, and integrity, as well as the functional interface to applications and application usability.
- Develop Best Practices: Define best practices for the critical evaluation and selection of software components, hardware requirements, and development methods.
- Evaluate Development Processes: Evaluate and select development processes, best practices, and tools to ensure effective application development.
- Ensure Application Usability: Ensure application usability and functional interface to applications.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Application Design Experience: Experience with designing applications that automate business processes and meet business needs, including evaluating and selecting software components and hardware requirements.
- Software Component Evaluation: Experience in critically evaluating and selecting software components, development methods, and tools to ensure effective application development.
- Quality and Performance Assurance: Experience with ensuring applications-related quality, performance, availability, scalability, and integrity, as well as the functional interface to applications and application usability.
- Development Process Optimization: Experience with evaluating and optimizing development processes, best practices, and tools to ensure effective application development.
- Multi-Platform Deployment: Experience with designing applications that run on multiple platforms and comprise multiple software packages and custom components.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Multi-Platform Development Expertise: Experience with designing applications that run on multiple platforms, including evaluating and selecting software components and hardware requirements. This includes understanding the complexities of multi-platform deployment and the ability to design applications that can adapt to different environments.
- Advanced Software Evaluation: Experience in critically evaluating and selecting software components, development methods, and tools to ensure effective application development. This includes staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development.
- Application Usability Optimization: Experience with ensuring application usability and functional interface to applications, including evaluating and optimizing user experience and user interface design. This includes understanding human-centered design principles and applying them to application development.
