About

Our client has an immediate fulltime opening on their team for a Microsoft technologies developer in their Huntington office (Onsite 5 days a week). The role will focus on developing and maintaining applications using C#/.NET (ASP.NET/Core), VB.NET, Blazor, SQL Server, and Azure, working closely with stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. They are currently repositioning out software infrastructure from VB.NET to C#.NET/Blazor using AI tools such as Anthropic’s Claude AI/API and VS code.

Core technical requirements

Backend development

• Strong experience with C#.NET (modern .NET and relevant legacy frameworks)
• Working knowledge of VB.NET for maintaining and extending existing systems
• Solid understanding of application architecture, APIs (Restful, etc.), and service-oriented design

Database & data modeling

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Proven ability in relational database design, normalization, indexing, query optimization, and stored procedures
• Comfort working with both greenfield schemas and complex legacy databases

Frontend development

• Experience building modern UIs with Microsoft Blazor (Server-side only)
• Strong HTML/CSS fundamentals and practical experience with Bootstrap for responsive, mobile-friendly design
• Ability to translate UX requirements into clean, maintainable front-end components

Scripting & integration

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript or similar) for automation, client-side logic, or tooling
• Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs and internal services

Testing & code quality

• A strong emphasis on thorough testing and code quality
• Experience writing and maintaining unit tests, integration tests, and regression tests
• Familiarity with code reviews, refactoring, and maintaining clean, readable, well-documented code
• Understanding of best practices around error handling, logging, performance, and maintainability

Experience A Plus

• Exposure to or enthusiasm for “vibe coding”—developers who combine technical rigor with creativity, strong product intuition, and a collaborative mindset. Experience with tools like Claude AI, VS Code, Google Stich used in creating applications in C#.NET & Blazor.
• Experience with DevExpress toolkits & reporting
• Prior experience in or supporting investment banking / financial services environments, especially where reliability, security, and data integrity are critical
