Applications Developer

Ecore International

Hybrid Full-time Mid Level $80k – $100k/yr Yesterday

About the role

About Ecore

Ecore is seeking an early‑career to mid-level Applications Developer to support, enhance, and optimize the business systems that power our operations. This is not an entry-level role—we’re looking for someone who already has hands-on experience with application integrations and enterprise systems and is ready to grow into a more advanced developer role over time.

While coding is part of the job, this position is heavily focused on application integration, system configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and cross-platform connectivity across our ERP, transportation systems, and related enterprise tools. We provide mentoring and exposure that will help you continue developing your technical depth and software development skills.

This role is ideal for a self-driven, solutions-oriented professional who is comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment and enjoys partnering with business users to translate functional needs into effective system solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Application & System Ownership

  • Configure, enhance, and maintain internal applications and third-party systems.
  • Administer ERP and enterprise platforms, including user setup, role creation, permissions, and security controls.
  • Support day-to-day application performance and serve as a technical resource for incident resolution and system inquiries.

Integrations & Connectivity

  • Build, support, and maintain integrations between business systems using APIs, scripts, and iPaaS tools (e.g., Workato).
  • Perform data mapping, transformation, and validation to ensure data accuracy across integrated platforms.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and resolve root-cause problems across ERP and related applications.

Technical Execution & Support

  • Implement system changes based on defined functional requirements and solution designs.
  • Participate in code reviews, version control processes, and environment migrations.
  • Assist with testing, deployments, upgrades, patches, go-lives, and ongoing system support.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation, including configurations, integration logic, and support procedures.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand needs, gather requirements, and recommend technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior developers and architects to learn best practices and support long-term system strategy.

Continuous Improvement & Skill Development

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate manual work, and improve system reliability.
  • Continue developing software development skills through real-world application work, mentoring, and hands-on experience.
  • Stay current with integration technologies, platform capabilities, and secure development practices.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience supporting application integrations, business systems, or enterprise applications.
  • Experience working with APIs, data flows, and system-to-system integrations.
  • Exposure to at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., C#, Java, PowerShell, JavaScript, or similar).
  • Experience with relational databases and basic SQL querying.
  • Comfort working independently, managing priorities, and solving technical problems without constant oversight.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Experience with ERP platforms (Kinetic/Epicor preferred).
  • Experience with iPaaS tools such as Workato (or similar).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, and version control tools such as Git.
  • Understanding of ITIL or service management concepts.

Why This Role

  • Not entry-level: You’ll be expected to contribute from day one using your prior integration and application experience.
  • Growth-oriented: Ideal for someone looking to build deeper development skills while working across real enterprise systems.
  • High exposure: Work closely with business leaders, systems, and senior technical partners.
  • Balance of stability and learning: Configuration, integration, coding, and problem-solving—all in one role.
