Application Engineer

Role Description

DotBlocks, a French technology startup that developed a cloud platform for multiphysics simulation, is looking for an Application Engineer to support the deployment and adoption of its technology across industries.

You will work at the intersection of physical modeling, scientific software and industrial operations, with a strong focus on customer impact and real-world applications.

Your mission will be to ensure the successful technical adoption and operational use of the DotBlocks platform by industrial customers.

Responsibilities

• Support technical phases of the sales cycle through demos and feasibility discussions.
• Lead technical onboarding of users and guide them through their first simulations.
• Provide advanced support on modeling strategies, simulation setup and interpretation of results.
• Act as the main technical interface between users and internal Research and Platform teams.
• Identify customer needs and contribute to the definition of reference industrial applications.
• Contribute to improving platform usability based on user feedback.
• Produce clear technical documentation and support knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in physics, applied mathematics, mechanical engineering, or a related field; a PhD is a plus.
• 2-5 years of experience in an industrial environment involving simulation or modeling.
• Experience in heavy industry is strongly preferred.
• Practical experience with numerical simulation tools (CFD, FEM, multiphysics, etc.).
• Strong interest in industrial processes and applied physics.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to industrial stakeholders.
• Autonomous, proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluent English is required.
