Application / Solution Architect (m/f/d)

Location: 40% Stuttgart, 60% remote Industry: Automotive Project Duration: asap – 12 months Workload: 100% Language: English / German

Contract: Do you have your own registered company that allows you to invoice us for the hours worked based on the hourly rate as a freelancer (mandatory for this role)?

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking support for one of our clients in the automotive sector for the design and further development of an engineering IT system landscape. The goal is to define and implement a holistic architecture for engineering solutions – from strategic conception to stable operation. The focus is on the integration and optimization of engineering applications (including mCAD/eCAD, ITOM systems) to standardize processes, drive automation, and sustainably modernize the system landscape.

The focus is on the management and implementation of engineering IT projects as well as the development and integration of solutions into a global IT strategy. In addition, the further development of existing applications and the assurance of stable IT operations are included.

Our architects work on the definition of target architectures, the integration of engineering tools, and the development of automation solutions and interfaces. The goal is to make engineering processes more efficient, avoid system breaks, and build a scalable and maintainable IT landscape.

Requirements

• Experience in IT Architecture (Application / Solution Architecture)
• Knowledge in IT Operations (ITOM) and Software Quality Assurance (SQA)
• Very good knowledge of C#, .NET, JavaScript
• SQL databases (e.g. Oracle)
• SAP interfaces
• Experience in integrating complex system landscapes
• Project management and ideally initial leadership experience
• Analytical skills, structured working method, and strong communication skills
