About the role
About
A Canadian semiconductor company is rebuilding how Wi-Fi silicon works. Their patented approach solves the problems traditional Wi-Fi has been chasing the wrong way for years. Interference, latency, congestion. The result is a chip architecture no one else has matched.
The traction is real. Tier 1 operator trials, partnerships with global retail and consumer brands, and recognition from the most respected semiconductor accelerator in the industry. They're publicly listed, recently funded through a mix of dilutive and non-dilutive capital, and shipping toward Wi-Fi 8.
Role
They need a baseband IC design engineer who pushes back on conventional thinking but knows when to ship. Someone who understands the trade-offs between baseband and RF, and has taken silicon to tape out in an RF or high speed comms context.
What you get is an engineering seat at a company with a clear product roadmap, paying customers, and a technical problem most of the industry hasn't figured out yet. Compensation includes meaningful equity alongside salary and progression.
