Field Application Engineer – Interconnect & Electromechanical (I&E)

About the Role

We are looking for a Field Application Engineer – Interconnect & Electromechanical (I&E) to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will work closely with sales, territory managers, and suppliers to create design wins and drive demand for our technology portfolio. This position is based in France (Clamart area) and reports directly to the Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Create design wins for customers in line with the EMEA supplier and technology strategy, maximizing profitable and protected business.
• Partner with the sales team throughout pre‑ and post‑sales activities, providing technical support and consulting on I&E solutions.
• Collaborate with fellow FAEs and Territory Managers to define core customers and develop technical account strategies.
• Take local ownership of assigned suppliers and technologies, ensuring alignment with market needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, sales, and marketing teams.
• Promote the organization’s value proposition to customers and suppliers.
• Prepare for and actively participate in supplier reviews.
• Drive demand creation by maximizing the organization’s content in customer designs.

What We’re Looking For

• University Master’s degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Field/Application Engineer, Design Engineer, R&D Engineer, or Product Engineer.
• Strong technical and commercial education background.
• Good understanding of the electronics market in the region.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Experience delivering technical presentations, training sessions, or technical events (preferred).
• English proficiency at least at B2 level.

Working Conditions

This is a full‑time, permanent position. The role is based in France (Clamart) and offers a stable employment contract with a competitive base salary and bonus scheme.
