About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Apprenticeship Program Manager to lead their technical skills development initiatives. This is a fully remote role, offering the flexibility to manage and grow apprenticeship programs from anywhere. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of apprenticeship pathways, including curriculum development, trainee recruitment, mentorship coordination, and progress tracking. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vocational training, human resources, or program management, with a proven ability to foster learning and career development in aspiring professionals.

Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement comprehensive apprenticeship programs focused on technical skills. Source and recruit suitable candidates for apprenticeship roles, assessing their aptitude and potential. Develop and refine apprenticeship curricula, ensuring alignment with industry standards and company needs. Coordinate mentorship relationships between apprentices and experienced staff members. Monitor apprentice progress, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with all relevant apprenticeship regulations and labor laws. Collaborate with internal departments to identify skill gaps and tailor apprenticeship programs accordingly. Manage program budgets, including training materials, equipment, and stipends. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external training providers, educational institutions, and industry partners. Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and skill-building activities for apprentices. Create reporting mechanisms to track program effectiveness, ROI, and apprentice success rates. Act as a key point of contact for apprentices, mentors, and hiring managers regarding program matters. Promote the apprenticeship program internally and externally to attract top talent. Stay abreast of best practices in apprenticeship development and technical training. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the program based on feedback and performance data. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, HR, L&D, or vocational training, with specific experience in managing apprenticeship or trainee programs. Strong understanding of technical trades and industry-specific skill requirements. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proven ability to develop engaging training content and curricula. Experience in recruitment and candidate assessment. Knowledge of adult learning principles and coaching methodologies. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting. Proficiency in project management tools and HRIS systems. Experience building and managing relationships with external stakeholders. A passion for developing talent and fostering career growth. Understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks for apprenticeships. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
