We are seeking a qualified and experienced Architect / Civil Engineer to join our team for an Architecture / civil construction project in Jigawa State.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural designs, concepts, and detailed drawings
• Prepare and approve building plans in compliance with regulatory standards
• Review and stamp architectural drawings where required
• Ensure functionality, safety, and aesthetics of project designs
• Supervise architectural aspects of construction on site
• Coordinate with engineers and other stakeholders for project execution
• Plan, design, and supervise all civil engineering aspects of construction projects
• Prepare, review, and approve engineering drawings, designs, and specifications with professional seal where required
• Ensure all works are executed in compliance with approved designs, regulatory standards, and safety requirements
• Oversee day‑to‑day site activities and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and site workers
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to project timelines
• Provide technical guidance and resolve on‑site engineering issues
• Prepare project schedules, cost estimates, and budgets, and ensure efficient resource utilization
• Review and certify work completed for payment processing
• Ensure proper documentation of project activities, including reports, drawings, and approvals
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on site
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to management
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns
• Ensure proper execution of structural works in line with engineering best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 5‑10 years’ experience in civil construction projects
• Must possess relevant professional certification (e.g., COREN)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Good communication and project management skills
