We are looking for a Solutions Architect who will report to the Head of Solutions Architecture. The person in this role will primarily define the solution architecture on specific projects, but will also work with business leaders to establish a roadmap and ensure solution alignment. In this role, you will review and understand the business requirements of a project to design a technological solution that will meet these requirements while respecting the guiding principles of enterprise architecture in BRP's current context.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Offer architectural design of the solution concerning the business, application, information, and technology domains through the solution architecture design document.
- Develop a solutions architecture for the global services ecosystem and its interfaces with connected systems.
- Implement and integrate technological solutions for global trade services, including connectivity with brokers, customs document management, trade compliance, import and export document management, global trade laws and regulations, and global trade services analysis.
- Design and manage the architecture of financial systems, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting tools. This involves ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with financial regulations.
- Ensure that all technological solutions comply with the legal and regulatory requirements specific to global trade services and finance.
- Collaborate with the organization to understand organizational and departmental strategy, and agree on information system solutions to meet needs.
- Evaluate costs and prepare business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licensing, cybersecurity, development, and support.
You will thrive in this role if you have the following skills and qualities:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent project-related experience.
- At least ten years of IT experience, including at least five years in information systems design.
- In-depth experience in designing and implementing information solutions, with a specialization in a key area of enterprise systems (e.g., global trade services, finance, legal).
- Hands-on experience implementing SAP S/4, SAP GTS, SAP ECC, Success Factors, Ariba.
- Strategic business sense, understanding of the organization's strategy, and ability to design information systems to implement that strategy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-specialist audiences.
- Some experience working with stakeholders at the board level.
- Team spirit combined with experience in leading and collaborating within teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills, demonstrated problem-solving abilities in an innovative way, and the ability to develop solution architecture designs.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies such as TOGAF with Archimate or equivalent.
- Bilingualism (French and English); knowledge of English is required because you will represent BRP in negotiations with suppliers in the United States and interact with stakeholders around the world.
