Your daily life

The Toulouse Champollion site brings together activities in satellite systems engineering, payload design and development, ground segment development and qualification. It includes a research center, an industrial accelerator for start-ups and ventures, as well as activities dedicated to low-temperature science, specifically the development and production of micro-mechanical coolers for demanding markets.

YOUR DAILY LIFE

Within the Thales Alenia Space technical directorate, the Competence Center Digital Solutions France is looking for a Ground Segment Software Architect. You will be integrated into the Solution Authority discipline, which brings together experienced software architects responsible for technical software authority on major space programs for Export clients or Institutional markets.

As a Ground Segment Software Architect, your missions will be:

• Jointly with the delivery axis, participate in the technical definition and costing of solutions to win business, taking into account cost and schedule constraints
• With the WPM, be responsible for the technical consistency of our digital solutions and their proper execution
• Participate in the development of technical roadmaps for our software products
• Support software architects, technical leads, and development teams in designing, developing, and testing solutions adapted to project needs
• Manage technical alerts for the project or product under your responsibility
• Defend solutions and various key technical choices with respect to domains and clients

YOUR PROFILE

• Graduated from an engineering school in computer science or equivalent, do you master modern software architectures (modular monolith, n-tier, microservices, hexagonal) as well as the main architecture patterns?
• Do you have solid expertise in data management and communication protocols?
• Do you navigate with ease in the Kubernetes ecosystem and its production uses?
• Do you know how to design solutions integrating strong non-functional requirements (availability, scalability, performance, maintainability, cybersecurity, testability)?
• Do you have full-stack expertise, with experience in technologies such as Java / SpringBoot, Angular, C++, Python, Go, or Rust?
• Are you capable of understanding and evolving complex legacy systems?
• Do you master configuration management and continuous integration tools (GitLab, GitLab CI, Artifactory)?
• Have you already worked in a space context or on comparable critical systems?
• Do you demonstrate autonomy and initiative in your missions?
• Do you work with rigor and attention to detail in demanding environments?
• Do you enjoy teamwork, collective commitment, and knowledge sharing?
• Can you present and simplify complex technical subjects to varied audiences?
• Do you speak English?
