AI Engineer (Hybrid – 3–4 Days Onsite)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer with strong expertise in agentic AI (Claude), legacy system modernization, and Java-based microservices development. This role focuses on leveraging AI to accelerate software development lifecycle (SDLC), reverse engineer legacy systems, and drive modernization initiatives.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Claude (Anthropic) for code generation, refactoring, and agent-based execution.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot microservices architecture.
• Experience with reverse engineering legacy systems and generating PRDs or functional documentation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and Kubernetes deployments.
• Experience with RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of SDLC acceleration using AI tools.
• Familiarity with policy administration systems and modernization practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on legacy modernization or mainframe transformation programs.
• Background in insurance domain (Property & Casualty preferred).
• Experience building AI agents for:
  • Code generation from requirements
  • Test case creation and automation
  • SDLC workflow optimization

Education Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Work Model

• Hybrid role requiring 3–4 days onsite per week in Jersey City, NJ.
