AI Specialist
Inspired
About the role
About Us
Inspired Networks is a BC-based managed IT services and software development firm. We help organizations across the province—from independent schools and non-profits to professional services firms—run secure, modern technology environments. We manage Microsoft 365 and security infrastructure, build custom software, and increasingly, help our clients harness AI to work smarter.
The Role
We're hiring an AI Specialist to lead the practical adoption of AI across our client base. You'll work directly with clients to identify automation opportunities, design and build solutions, and train their teams to use AI effectively in their day-to-day work.
This role is part consultant, part builder, part teacher. One day you might be designing a Power Automate flow with Copilot integration to triage requests in a client's M365 tenant. The next, you might be running a workshop on how a client can use Claude to draft proposals, analyze documents, or build internal knowledge tools. You'll be the person clients turn to when they ask, "How can we actually use this stuff?"
What You'll Do
- Assess client workflows and identify high-value opportunities for AI and automation
- Design and build automations using Microsoft Power Automate, Copilot Studio, and the broader M365 ecosystem
- Deploy and configure AI platforms—Claude, Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, and others—for client teams, including governance, security, and compliance considerations
- Develop custom prompts, agents, and integrations that solve specific client problems
- Run training sessions, workshops, and 1:1 coaching for client staff at all skill levels
- Create documentation, playbooks, and reusable templates that scale across our client base
- Stay current with rapidly evolving AI tools and translate new capabilities into practical client outcomes
- Collaborate with our IT and development teams to integrate AI solutions into broader client engagements
What We're Looking For
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
- Hands-on experience with at least one major AI platform (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini) and a clear understanding of where each one shines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365—especially Power Automate, SharePoint, and Teams
- A track record of automating manual processes, whether through low-code platforms, scripting, or AI agents
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- A teaching mindset—you genuinely enjoy helping people learn new tools and build confidence with them
- Curiosity and adaptability; this field changes by the month, and you need to enjoy that pace
Bonus points for:
- Experience in an MSP or consulting environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and M365 admin
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript)
- Experience with prompt engineering, RAG, custom GPTs, or agent frameworks
- Background in change management, adult learning, or technical training
- Awareness of AI governance and Canadian data privacy considerations (PIPEDA, FIPPA, PIPA)
What You Won't Need
A computer science degree—we care about what you can do, not where you went to school
Years of "AI experience." The field is too new for that. Show us you've gone deep on what's available now.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience
- A collaborative team that values curiosity over hierarchy
- Direct exposure to a wide variety of organizations, industries, and problems
- Latitude to experiment and shape how we deliver AI services
- Comfortable North Vancouver based Office with Hybrid Work Opportunity
