Job Summary

As a Presales Solutions Engineer specializing in Data Protection, you will serve as a key cloud security expert interacting directly with customers. Your consultative approach will help drive security projects and enhance business continuity through innovative security technologies. This position may require periodic attendance in Austin, Texas, as determined by business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with various stakeholders within client organizations, including CIOs, CSOs, CISOs, and Security Engineers, to fortify relationships and understand their objectives.
  • Deepen your knowledge of our service offerings by participating in company training and self-study.
  • Educate sales teams on effective cybersecurity selling techniques and key technologies through one-on-one and group training sessions.
  • Stay updated on emerging technology trends and industry developments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Enhance your skills through independent work and experimentation in lab environments.
  • Create collateral to support cybersecurity sales initiatives.
  • Develop practical use cases in the SHI lab to aid sales efforts.

Required Skills

  • Intermediate experience with security frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, and CIS.
  • Strong knowledge of identity governance and security technologies including DLP, CASB, SWG, DSPM, USB control, and ransomware recovery solutions.
  • Ability to articulate the value proposition of technical products and services, effectively addressing customer needs throughout the sales process.
  • Expertise in mainstream cybersecurity technologies such as Proofpoint, Mimecast, Abnormal, Rubrik, Varonis, Sentra, and Cohesity.

Qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor's Degree, or relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years in a technical cybersecurity role.
  • 3+ years in Security Pre-Sales Consulting.
  • Advanced certification preferred (CISSP, GIAC, SSCP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, CPT, CWSP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security).
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for client meetings, internal sessions, and industry events.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours for special projects as needed.

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $230,000, offering a competitive base salary and bonus structure. Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and market location. Comprehensive benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending accounts.
