About the role
New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking an Asset Management System Analyst to support the implementation and enhancement of enterprise asset management solutions as part of a major EAM reconfiguration initiative. This role will focus on supporting the deployment of new HxGN EAM solutions, improving system functionality, addressing operational pain points, and ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements within a large enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing existing business challenges and operational requirements related to work management and infrastructure asset management planning within the HxGN EAM environment.
- Documenting and optimizing business processes to improve work management and asset management planning workflows.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather, validate, and document functional and technical requirements.
- Presenting and reviewing collected asset data with business stakeholders prior to upload into HxGN EAM.
- Working closely with functional business teams and GIS teams to review, validate, and support asset data integration activities.
- Performing requirements analysis and developing system configuration and process documentation.
- Troubleshooting and resolving system, technical, and data-related issues within the EAM environment.
- Participating in Agile/Scrum delivery activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and development of user stories.
- Supporting implementation, testing, and continuous improvement activities related to enterprise asset management solutions.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working in IT as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Asset Data Analyst supporting enterprise software systems.
- Experience working with utility, parks, facility, or infrastructure asset data and asset management platforms such as HxGN EAM or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, Agile practices, and Scrum frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to document, analyze, and assess business processes, system interactions, and workflow improvements.
- Experience identifying business and system issues and developing consolidated process and system solutions.
- Strong understanding of information technology systems, components, integrations, and related business processes.
- Knowledge of operational business functions and technology requirements within enterprise environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Certification in Infrastructure Asset Management (e.g., IAM, IPWEA, PEMAC) is considered an asset.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certifications are considered assets.
