About the role

Job Summary

The Asset Reference Data Analyst will be part of the Instrument Reference Data Operations team, responsible for delivering high-quality securities reference data across multiple lines of business. This team operates as a center of excellence, sourcing, validating, and distributing instrument data used in trading, risk management, fund valuation, settlement, and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily validation of reference data within internal systems
  • Source, validate, and maintain instrument and pricing data
  • Work with external data vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters) and internal tech teams
  • Resolve data discrepancies and client queries in a timely manner
  • Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of financial data
  • Participate in process improvements and automation initiatives (AI/tools)
  • Support monthly deliverables and reporting deadlines
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, technology, and business teams
  • Escalate issues appropriately and maintain strong documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (MANDATORY) Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, CS, Engineering preferred
  • Strong understanding or interest in financial markets / fixed income / securities
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Fixed Income, Pricing, Fund Valuation, or Market Data
  • Knowledge of corporate actions, index benchmarking, and financial instruments
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg / Reuters
  • Exposure to AI / ML tools (Alteryx, Tableau, etc.)

  • Work Model: 5 days onsite
  • Interview Process: 2 rounds (1 in-person required)
  • Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:30 PM (may rotate to 10:00 AM 7:00 PM; OT as needed)
  • Duration: 6 Months (RTH Opportunity)
  • Pay Rate: $28/hr W2
  • Location: Newark, DE (Onsite)
