The Opportunity

This is a key role within the finance leadership team, offering strong visibility and impact across the organization.

As Assistant Controller, you’ll play a critical role in strengthening financial governance, enhancing reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. You’ll work closely with operations and senior leadership to improve processes and drive financial discipline in a growing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Financial Reporting & Close

  • Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accurate, timely month-end close
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial analyses
  • Support financial statement preparation

Accounts Payable Leadership

  • Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team
  • Oversee full AP cycle from start to finish

Planning & Analysis

  • Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasts
  • Analyze cost variances and provide actionable insights

Cash Flow & Banking

  • Monitor cash flow and banking activities
  • Ensure liquidity aligns with operational needs

Process Improvement & Controls

  • Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes
  • Support implementation of policies and best practices

Audit & Compliance

  • Prepare audit documentation and act as key liaison for external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures

Leadership

  • Coach, mentor, and develop accounting team members

Ad Hoc Projects

  • Support special projects, reporting, and business initiatives as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (including AP & tax considerations)
  • Advanced Excel + experience with accounting systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

  • ERP experience (SAP is a strong asset)
  • Multi-currency / international accounting exposure
  • Experience with system implementations or process improvements
