The parent company of two of the most recognized brands in business publishing is hiring an Assistant Manager of Audience Development to support audience strategy and execution across its digital ecosystem. The two publications reach millions of readers online with content focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, leadership, and design.
This is a cross-functional role that touches SEO, newsletters, platform distribution, lifecycle marketing, and performance analytics. The Assistant Manager will help grow and engage digital audiences by executing data-driven initiatives that expand reach, improve engagement, and grow subscribers across both brands' websites. The work involves close collaboration with editorial, product, creative, marketing, social, and video teams.
A strong fit for someone early in their digital media career who has a data-curious mindset, a basic understanding of audience development or SEO, and a desire to learn how content distribution and performance drive business impact. This position requires in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday at the company's Lower Manhattan office. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
What the Role Covers
- Assisting in executing strategies to increase and retain traffic, email subscribers, followers, and registered users across both brand websites
- Helping optimize headlines, metadata, and content for search and emerging AI platforms
- Supporting newsletter production, segmentation, and onboarding and re-engagement campaigns
- Supporting content distribution and experimentation across platforms like Reddit, Quora, YouTube, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp
- Pulling and interpreting data from tools like GA4 and Parse.ly to identify trends and opportunities
- Assisting in optimizing content funnels and tracking subscription and engagement performance
- Collaborating with editorial, social, video, creative, and marketing teams on growth initiatives
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in digital media, marketing, analytics, or a related field
- Basic understanding of SEO, audience development, or content marketing
- Familiarity with analytics tools such as GA4, Parse.ly, or similar platforms is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
- Data-curious mindset with an interest in turning insights into action
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced media environment
