Assistant Manager – Mechanical Maintenance

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Assistant Manager – Mechanical Maintenance to oversee and ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of mechanical systems within a fast-paced FMCG/manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for minimizing downtime, optimizing maintenance processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently handle mechanical breakdowns and ensure prompt resolution
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Conduct root cause analysis Why-Why Analysis to eliminate recurring issues
• Plan, coordinate, and execute plant shutdown and turnaround activities
• Manage and optimize spare parts inventory to ensure availability and cost efficiency
• Ensure equipment reliability and maximum uptime across production lines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency
• Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and reports

Requirements

• B.Sc. / B.Tech / HND in Mechanical Engineering
• 10 – 12 years of experience in FMCG or manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and execution
• Experience in shutdown management and equipment troubleshooting
• Good understanding of root cause analysis techniques
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
