Role Description

The NCC is seeking a highly organized, detail oriented, multifaceted, and motivated individual for the position of Project Coordinator to help with planning, logistics, and clerical support for special projects, programs, events, and activities. This role will provide essential research, writing, administrative, strategic and logistical support to NCC staff on projects related to the mission, goals, and objectives of NCC. This position requires the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, as well as exceptional organizational, research and communication skills. The Project Coordinator will be expected to live in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and work in the office at least three days per week. The Project Coordinator reports to the President/General Secretary and Senior Associate General Secretary & Advocacy Director.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the President/General Secretary and Senior Associate General Secretary/Advocacy Director on projects related to NCC priorities, goals, and objectives.
  • Research information to be used in project planning and development.
  • Support all phases of project strategy development.
  • Stay up to date with all projects using a project management platform (Microsoft Planner)
  • Coordinate logistics for projects and program initiatives, webinars, workshops and NCC meetings, as assigned, including reserving meeting space, organizing, and disseminating meeting materials, coordinating room set-up and other logistics as assigned.
  • Provide support for event management including the Christian Unity Gathering, NCC’s signature annual event, as well as other meetings and conferences (may include travel).
  • Manage data related to NCC lists, events, and activities.
  • Provide support for the planning and implementation of meetings, programs, and special events.
  • Perform clerical duties in support of projects.
  • Research background information for toolkits, statements, events, and reports, as needed.
  • Professionally interact and communicate with staff, NCC members, program participants, and external partners.
  • Assist all staff members in the development and implementation of NCC’s priorities and initiatives.
  • Help create, proofread, and edit content for newsletters, press releases, website, and social media platforms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Some travel is necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, and ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience providing administrative and operations support to teams and organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Job Classification

Full-time exempt. Work generally conducted Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. EDT. This is a hybrid position with at least 3 days in the office. Occasional evening and weekend availability may be required as well as occasional travel.
