About the role

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager to support the execution of large-scale commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MEP systems, interior finishes including carpentry and painting, and the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership capability, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale commercial construction projects
  • Oversee and coordinate MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) activities to ensure alignment with project schedules and specifications
  • Manage and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and vendors across carpentry, painting, and finishing works
  • Review, interpret, and ensure execution as per complex construction drawings and technical documents
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report on performance, risks, and delays
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies
  • Support procurement processes, material tracking, and cost control measures
  • Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders including clients, consultants, and internal teams
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure work quality and adherence to design specifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 3–7 years of experience in commercial construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems and interior works (carpentry, painting, finishes)
  • Proven ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and blueprints
  • Experience managing and coordinating large teams on-site
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Spanish language proficiency (spoken and/or written)
  • Experience working on large-scale or multi-phase commercial projects
  • Familiarity with project management tools and construction software

Pay

$60,616.81 - $80,387.99 per year
