We are seeking a dynamic leader to join WSP’s Strategic Growth Team (SGT), focused on advancing strategic growth initiatives across the Mid-Atlantic region. As an Assistant Vice President, Senior Marketing Manager, you will lead marketing strategy and drive client, pursuit, and proposal development across Transportation and Advisory business lines, supporting work in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, and Delaware.

Your Impact
- Partner with business leadership to develop and execute client-focused strategies and tactical action plans to grow WSP’s market share, including tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with business leaders to drive WSP’s business development process, including sales pipeline development, industry visibility plans, and pursuit prioritization.
- Facilitate Go/No-Go discussions and provide recommendations to leadership based on strategic alignment, readiness, and opportunity value.
- Identify and drive client and industry visibility strategies aligned with strategic priorities.
- Lead and support pursuit teams across all phases from pre-RFP through proposal, interview, and close-out, ensuring alignment with WSP’s pursuit management process and standards.
- Develop and drive pursuit capture plans, partnering with Technical Champions and national resources to advance pre-positioning, readiness, and overall sales approach.
- Oversee and monitor progress on key pursuits, ensuring alignment with strategy, schedule, and quality expectations.
- Develop and refine win strategies, including key messaging, themes, and differentiators, informed by client, competitor, and market intelligence.
- Lead post-procurement debriefs and ensure lessons learned are incorporated into future pursuits and business development strategies.
- Lead proposal development efforts, including team leadership, schedule management, outline development, and overall content strategy.
- Collaborate with technical staff to write, review, and edit content for clarity, compliance, and alignment with strategic messaging.
- Partner with graphic design teams to develop compelling visual materials that effectively communicate pursuit strategies and differentiators.
- Serve as a quality control reviewer for proposals and business development materials, ensuring consistency, compliance, and excellence.
- Lead interview preparation and presentation strategy, including slide development, messaging alignment, rehearsal facilitation, and coaching.
- Coach and prepare presenters for delivery and Q&A, ensuring clarity, confidence, and alignment with win themes.
- Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of marketing professionals through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Manage and prioritize proposal workload, monitor team progress and quality, and take corrective action as needed to ensure successful delivery.
- Support the ongoing development and refinement of pursuit and business development processes, tools, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with WSP sales and business development policies and procedures, including audit requirements and quality standards.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company resources and conduct, in alignment with WSP’s Code of Conduct.
- Participate in professional development and industry engagement opportunities (e.g., SMPS, WTS) to strengthen relationships and business acumen.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of applicable experience
- 10+ years of progressive marketing experience and responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver standard and complex proposals from initiation through close-out while managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience leading teams and developing professionals through coaching, mentoring, and real-time feedback
- Demonstrated expertise in marketing strategy, business development, forecasting, and sales processes
- Strong strategic mindset with sound judgment and the ability to align marketing and pursuit strategies to business goals
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and work effectively across all levels of the organization
- Ability to facilitate meetings, guide decision-making, and coordinate large, diverse, cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, compelling messages
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and liaison skills, with knowledge of business development and pursuit processes
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate with a high degree of independence
- Superior organizational, time management, and coordination skills, with strong attention to detail and accountability
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the A/E/C industry
- Certification or enhanced credentials in applicable areas
- Active member of industry associations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat), and collaboration tools

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $106,300.00 - $189,310.00
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
