Associate Cloud Engineer - Google Cloud Platform

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy complex, multi-tier applications on GCP, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Manage and optimize workloads using GCP services like Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run.
• Independently review client infrastructure, conduct cost optimization audits and well-architected reviews to identify cost in‑efficiencies like underutilized resources, architectural pitfalls, pricing options.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their growth and development.
• Conduct regular knowledge‑sharing sessions and guide team members on GCP best practices, tools, and techniques.
• Explore and perform POCs for new GCP services and features, integrating them to enhance performance and cost savings.
• Handle customer queries and client interactions, providing technical expertise and ensuring satisfaction with delivered solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

• B.Tech/B.E/MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure, with at least 3+ years dedicated to GCP.
• In‑depth knowledge of GCP services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Run, IAM, BigQuery, and Networking.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on identifying and solving inefficiencies in infrastructure.
• Any GCP certification (good to have), such as:
  1. Google Associate Cloud Engineer
  2. Google Professional Cloud Architect
  3. Google Professional Dev
