Associate Data Analytics / Audit

Responsibilities

• As part of a team of specialists, responsible for providing data analytics and IT services to Group Internal Audit in order to identify or anticipate risks
• Preparation of in-depth or rapid data analyses for the planning and execution of risk-based audits, or user interfaces that organize and present information in an easily readable format, often in real time, or the development of management reports for advanced analytical purposes
• Responsible for transparency and quality in quantitative statements regarding master data, when taking samples (e.g. from data sets, transactions or controls) or when detecting anomalies
• Responsible for the development and integration of innovative, data-driven audit approaches or for collaborating on AI projects related to the further development of business intelligence within Group Audit
• Close collaboration primarily with auditors, but also with Compliance or Risk Management
• Collaboration on training initiatives to promote data analytics awareness
• Collaboration on pilot or ad hoc projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Econometrics or Statistics
• Professional experience in a bank and knowledge of its processes and specific characteristics
• Experience in data analysis for internal audit or risk management
• Interest in working with ETL processes and data pipelines to extract data from various sources and convert it into a standardized format
• Experience in working with databases, data analysis tools, dashboards and reporting
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and SQL
• Experience in data visualisation, e.g. Tableau, Power BI, an advantage
• Interest in generating meaningful data from various databases for internal audit projects
• Ability to derive precise insights from structured and unstructured data
• Analytical mindset with an eye for detail
• Team-oriented and cooperative
• Open-mindedness and a high degree of trustworthiness and integrity for working with confidential data
• Fluent in German and English
