About the role
Position Overview
GovExec is seeking a Digital Marketing Associate to own marketing programs on behalf of clients and drive strategic projects. In this role, you will develop and execute digital tactics to grow GovExec’s brand database and audience reach, as well as monitor and analyze data-driven campaigns to optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own, develop, and enhance sponsorship marketing campaigns—including email marketing, demand generation, and website advertising—to meet strategic client goals and support sales renewal opportunities.
- Develop engaging audience marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and achieve editorial audience goals.
- Assist Digital Managers in enhancing digital acceleration products to ensure client success and drive profitability.
- Contribute to strategic projects that help achieve company and department objectives.
- Analyze campaign delivery status, including organic growth tactics, deliverability reliability, and opportunities for improvement.
- Employ email best practices (send times, subject lines, list segmentation, formatting, and deliverability) and analyze open and click-through rates to refine strategy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in a related role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Flexibility and a keen interest in learning new skills, technologies, and industry trends.
- Initiative to drive new ideas forward in the marketing industry.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, and Google Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HTML, Sailthru, or email marketing is a plus.
- Experience with social media is a plus.
Compensation
Compensation: $50,000 to $55,000 per year.
