Job Purpose

Monitor operation and maintenance of power transmission and distribution system of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in order to ensure system availability.

To lead a team of technical professionals in order to achieve maximum availability of systems‑ HVAC, Firefighting, Plumbing and High rise M/Cs, in a cost effective manner complying with all safety, environmental and legal norms of Passenger Terminal Building & Airside –Landside Facilities

Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities

• Operations and Maintenance of Mechanical Systems (HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Fighting system, Chillers, FCUs, AHU etc.) of Passenger Terminal Building & ALS Of Nagpur Intl Airport
• Leading Mechanical team. of Nagpur Airport
• Leads efforts in developing performance metrics and KPI's to facilitate data driven decisions.
• Leads the 24/7 Airport Maintenance (Mechanical) to ensure optimal customer service support is provided to all maintenance departments, airport divisions, airlines, concessionaires, and the traveling public.

Key Performance Indicators

• Percentage availability of systems, equipment etc.
• Percentage savings on Expense – Budget vs. actual
• Energy and water consumption – reduction in cost per passenger

Safety and statutory compliance

With competent safety norms and procedures ensure the maintenance with negligible incidents.

Ensuring statutory compliance with regular environmental checks and plant operation as per pollution control board

Technical team development

Upgrading the skills of technical team with trainings and interactions, ensured strengthening of team s technical ability and hence improving the efficiency of equipment with reduced breakdown.

• Interact with client on regular basis to understand their requirements.
• Interact with AMCs for their service quality and reporting mechanism
• Interacting with technical staff providers for discussing the performance and improvement needs of technical team
• Interact with OEM and other material suppliers for maintenance and purchase issues
• Interact with CISF, Immigration, Custom’s, Retailers, Airlines staff etc. to understand their requirements and to resolve if any technical issues.

Internal Interactions

Internal – Roles you need to interact with inside the organization to enable success in your day to day work

• Interaction with seniors and junior managers for seeking advice in daily maintenance activities.
• Interact with Procurement and contracts department for purchasing consumables, measuring equipments, PPM and other AMC contracts. Other contract negotiation issues.
• Interact with HR department for labour issues at facility and other manpower issues
• Interact with Accounts department for Billing, raising debit notes, providing payment certifications etc.
• Interact with ARFF department on technical aspects to adhere with statutory requirements.
