Need Statement
Aegis is seeking to employ an energetic, and detail-oriented Associate Product Manager to facilitate feature development, implementation, and life cycle management for its software and product offerings. While the primary focus will be within the Brand Protection and Compliance business unit, on the Aegis Identity and Integrity Investigation Management System (AI3MS) and the Aegis Compliance Management platform, this role may also extend support to product development throughout the organization.
Job Summary
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Product and is based in Aegis Mobile’s offices in Tysons Corner, VA, or Mobile, AL. In-office and hybrid working arrangements may be considered. The Associate Product Manager will be primarily responsible for ensuring the successful development, launch, and ongoing operation of new capabilities and features within Aegis’s platforms. The Associate Product Manager collaborates with the Vice President of Product, as well as the Operations and Technology Teams, to develop, uphold, and advance KYP and compliance diligence policies and methodologies. This role is responsible for assisting in the definition of solution requirements, contributing to detailed functional specifications, and outlining logic for relevant software and operational processes. The Associate Product Manager researches partner diligence practices and regulations, identifies functional gaps, nominates data requirements and sources, and works with third parties to obtain data and service access. The Associate Product Manager works with the Technology Team to facilitate integration of new data sources, including suggesting evaluation logic to support appropriate results and user interfaces across the spectrum of use cases and conditions, and to guide and complete the testing process for new software releases to ensure product quality. The Associate Product Manager participates in production support, addressing inquiries and concerns while collaborating with Operations and Technology teams to identify solutions and assist the customer success team in their responses to customers. An outstanding Associate Product Manager will have experience managing one or more projects, demonstrating a solid understanding of how to meet customer requirements while supporting customer service and contributing to the improvement of software and operational processes. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and creative skills, with the ability to present and defend proposed solutions to diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Analyze product performance across onboarding, verification, and monitoring stages to identify bottlenecks and optimize workflows.
- Assist in the establishment of product and feature requirements, development and deployment roadmaps, and timelines.
- Assess the alignment between product development plans, advancing KYP best practices and technologies, and regulatory and compliance standards.
- Assess product workflow for inefficiencies and recommend strategies for optimization.
- Draft integration and testing process plans and documentation.
- Interface with internal customer success and vetting teams and external stakeholders to identify issues and improve user experience.
- Draft feature requirements and collaborate with Operations and Technology Teams to refine requirements and schedule and implement system updates.
- Coordinate with Operations Team and support synchronization of training with system feature deployment.
- Review new data sources to address evolving conditions and new capability needs and coordinate meetings with data vendors and Aegis stakeholders to facilitate their addition.
- Adapt quickly to changing job requirements, responsibilities and learning opportunities.
- Assess key metrics and objectives, collaborating with the Technology Team to understand and improve analytical methodologies for evaluating system performance and effectiveness.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements

- Aptitude for quickly learning a wide range of client business processes and needs to support solution development and product improvements
- Proficiency in internet research
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated expertise in utilizing tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Power BI to assess product performance
- Strong technical interest and expertise; familiarity of APIs, databases, and/or software architecture is a plus
- General experience and proficiency in working with software systems and data
- “Know Your Customer/Partner” services and technologies experience is advantageous
- Experience in project management or software product life cycle (Agile/Scrum) is a plus
- Experience with management of software feature development (e.g., SAFe) is a plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a business analyst, product management, or related role
- Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL, or related tools, for data analysis and reporting
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams
