About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Project Manager I to support projects during the design and construction phases. This role provides oversight to ensure projects are delivered consistently, meet quality standards, and comply with contract requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with project teams to support planning, documentation, and quality control efforts.

Contract Details

  • Contract: 12 months
  • Work Hours: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (includes unpaid lunch)
  • Office / Field Split: 50 % office / 50 % field

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters.
  • Review submittals, including Quality Work Plans and Quality Management Plans.
  • Conduct audits of contractors and PMT roles/responsibilities.
  • Perform quality audits during design and construction phases.
  • Review material inspection reports for contract compliance.
  • Review field inspection reports from the PMT and contractors.
  • Identify and manage Non‑Compliance Reports.
  • Perform root cause analysis and ensure corrective/preventive actions.
  • Develop and review quality procedures.
  • Manage the DSO Quality SharePoint database and produce reports as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, business administration, public administration, or a related field OR
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 1 year of project experience
  • One year as a project manager on a large and/or complex construction project.
  • Knowledge of construction and project management processes
  • Familiarity with project delivery methods
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in both office and field environments
  • Experience in quality management (preferred)
  • Understanding of transit operations (preferred)

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to obtain required track safety training
  • OSHA 30‑hour certification required prior to field work
  • Must provide compliant safety boots

Pay & Benefits

  • Pay: $38.00 – $45.00 per hour
