We seek an energetic and service-oriented technology professional to join Chatham Financial as an Associate Information Security Analyst. The candidate will support organization-wide technology and security initiatives, including coordinating across teams to implement and maintain security policy and governance, executing operational security activities, and supporting related projects.
The candidate must be comfortable with some ambiguity, as your activities will vary based on the organization’s priorities.
In This Role You Will
- Coordinate security operations by ensuring that security policies and procedures are implemented and followed appropriately.
- Support incident response activities, including root cause analysis, identifying and documenting indicators of compromise, reporting, and tracking after-action items.
- Coordinate with third parties to request and maintain an updated repository of documents and information needed to conduct Vendor Risk Assessment activities.
- Assist with supporting security governance programs, including managing policies and monitoring controls.
- Assist with the client’s request for information and security assessments.
- Assess IT architectures, including Cloud, for security risks and provide recommendations based on best practice standards.
- Provide general support for all organizational security initiatives.
- Encourage and lead continuous improvement of security operation processes and technology programs.
- Periodically monitor and review user behavior, device, network, and access logs for security alerting.
- Organize, facilitate, and coordinate meetings and other administrative activities.
- Facilitate transparency and communication using all mediums: Verbal, written, visual, social, etc.
Your Impact
Under the supervision of the Information Security Manager, the candidate will primarily support the following security programs and initiatives:
- IT Security Assessments
- Client Security Assessments
- Vendor Risk Assessments (VRA)
- Incident Response
- Disaster Recovery Management
- Security Awareness and Training
- Security Monitoring and Reporting
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Vulnerability Management
- Security Operations
Contributors To Your Success
- 1-2 years of relevant security experience with an emphasis on DLP and VRA
- Excellent communication skills
- Security certifications encouraged: CompTIA Security+, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), and/or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), and Azure Fundamentals.
- Strong analytical skills for vetting issues, troubleshooting problems, and cross-team logistical challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple competing demands.
- Must be flexible and pragmatic about methods and processes, and able to apply the model and approaches that fit best with the context
- Security first mindset
- Knowledge in cyber security and organizational security concepts.
- Network Security includes Firewalls, Switches, Routers, IDS/IPS, and Remote Access Solutions
- Security Standards include NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP, CIS, and CSA
- Cloud and Mobile Security
- Email Security including SPF, DMARC, and DKIM
- Application and Database Security
- Endpoint and Server Security
- Log Review and Alert Monitoring
- Automations using Power Automate and AI tools
- Knowledge of Microsoft Security tools- Purview, Entra ID, Defender
- Problem-solving skills
