The Role

We’re looking for an Associate Staff Frontend Engineer who blends deep technical skill with strong product thinking and a passion for building exceptional user experiences.

In this role, you’ll work across Talview’s core platform—shaping frontend architecture, elevating engineering quality, mentoring engineers, and driving improvements in performance, design systems, and technical strategy. You'll tackle complex problems, ship high-impact features, and help raise the bar for frontend engineering across the organization.

What you'll actually do:

• Build and ship complex features Architect, design, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing frontend capabilities across Talview’s platform

• Own architecture & technical decisions Lead frontend patterns, frameworks, and long-term architectural direction

• Evolve our design system Strengthen shared UI foundations, enforce accessibility, and ensure consistent, delightful UX

• Mentor and unblock teams Review critical PRs, define best practices, and guide engineers across squads

• Solve deep technical challenges Performance bottlenecks, large-scale state management, cross-service integrations

• Collaborate across Product, Design, Backend, QA, and SRE Drive seamless end-to-end delivery

• Improve product quality Identify UI/UX gaps, optimize rendering, and ensure code that’s maintainable and future-proof

• Drive engineering excellence Lead improvements in testing, observability, CI/CD, workflows, and frontend tooling

• Support reliability Participate in on-call rotations, handle incidents, fix critical production issues

• Influence vision & strategy Shape long-term frontend evolution, roadmaps, and platform direction

✨ You Might Be a Fit If...

You have:

• 5+ years of professional experience building modern frontend applications

• Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React or equivalent)

• Strong understanding of web performance, security, testing, and accessibility

• Experience delivering complex features in large-scale codebases

• A track record of mentoring engineers and improving engineering processes

• Clear communication skills and a strong problem-solving mindset

Bonus points for:

• Experience with design systems, component libraries, or micro-frontends

• Strong architectural thinking and system design experience

• Exposure to cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, or performance tuning

• Prior mentorship, technical leadership, or cross-team ownership

• Contributions to open-source or engineering communities

• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor, Windsurf, Codex, etc.

• Experience working in product-centric organizations with strong cross-functional collaboration
