Job Description

The Customer Experience (CX) team at CapTech is on the lookout for an Associate User Experience Director / Lead Product Designer who has a solid history of designing complex digital brand experiences that are user-friendly, impactful, and accessible.

As a leader in UX, you have the ability to influence user behavior and strengthen brand-to-customer relationships through the delivery of attractive and engaging digital products and services. You will work closely with project managers, user researchers, UX and UI designers, content strategists, and developers to create cohesive digital experiences.

While your primary focus will be on hands‑on client delivery, there may be opportunities to lead teams and mentor junior designers. Your leadership will foster strong client relationships and promote account growth, while also inspiring the next generation of design professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the development of personas, customer journey maps, wireframes, responsive visual designs, and interactive prototypes that adhere to interaction design and usability best practices.
  • Managing project teams to nurture junior designers, develop their skills, and improve the quality of deliverables to clients.
  • Clearly presenting design concepts and their rationale to clients and internal teams.
  • Creating informative and concise presentations for clients and team members that explain your design decisions.
  • Offering constructive feedback on design aspects including interactions, information architecture, content, layout, and alignment with strategic goals and branding.
  • Conducting competitive analyses and generating innovative alternatives while staying attuned to design and technology trends.
  • Strategically guiding client projects, leading workshops, and formulating high‑level roadmaps and recommendations based on research and best practices.
  • Contributing to the growth and evolution of CX methodologies, capabilities, and tools, while engaging in professional development.
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of UI design best practices across various platforms and advocating for accessible experiences within your team and with clients.
  • Exploring and utilizing AI‑powered design tools and technologies to boost creativity and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience, preferably in a design consultancy or digital agency.
  • A 4‑year degree in design, HCI, or a related field is preferred.
  • A track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to scope and budget constraints.
  • Experience across multiple areas of human‑centered design including user and market research, product and experience strategy, information architecture, experience design, content strategy, and customer insights.
  • Strong written, verbal, conceptual, and visual communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Figma is required, with preference for candidates who can create developer‑ready assets and UI components.
  • Experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, as well as PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with user research tools (e.g., Optimal Workshop, UserTesting, SurveyMonkey) is a bonus.
  • Experience with workshopping and whiteboarding tools (e.g., Miro, Figjam) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Agile product development lifecycles is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 Accessibility standards and Inclusive Design principles is a plus.
