About the Company

Being part of the Point Of Sale terminals R&D, the Mechanical Designer is working in the mechanical design for fresh developments and in evolution of the devices already deployed. The Point Of Sales are iOT incorporating a wide range of technologies (touch screen, contactless payment, cameras, biometrics, etc.) in a context where it is also necessary to be particularly innovative to remain at the cutting edge in terms of security. They are produced in medium and large runs (from 50k to 1.5 million products/year).

About the Role

The Mechanical designer takes part in product design, providing input on product architecture.

Responsibilities

• He produces CAD drawings of the various parts in order to deliver 3D and 2D drawings of manufacturable plastic parts and small sheet metal parts.
• He is in charge of exchanges between the electronics and mechanical departments.
• He integrates the sketches of the Industrial Design to make CAD files of industrialized parts.
• He assists the mechanical manager in the operational supervision of external resources and supports them in the best design practices specific to our core business.
• He sets up procedures and documentation to facilitate the integration of external resources who will be reinforcing projects from time to time.
• He participates in technical exchanges with suppliers, mainly located in Asia.
• He takes part in implementing corrective actions based on feedback from the qualification laboratory, pilots on the field, production batches, etc.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineer / m CAD Technician Engineer
• 5 years in IoT mechanical development

Required Skills

• Developments of devices plastic based for mass production perspective (Millions+ pieces every year)
• mCAD (Solid works)
• Plastic processing knowledge for injected parts
• ISO cotation
• PCI and other payment business constraints knowledge
