Quality Engineer (Outsourced)

Responsibilities

• Identify quality risks in project delivery and drive the implementation of preventive and corrective measures.
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality management plans, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead installation quality training for subcontractor teams to ensure compliance with project and client standards.
• Conduct project quality inspections and spot checks, audit subcontractor quality reports, and coordinate with acceptance teams to complete site acceptance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Good proficiency in Afrikaans language.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in quality management within the telecommunications industry; familiarity with MTN installation standards is an advantage.
• Solid knowledge of telecom equipment, including RAN, transmission (TX), and power systems.
• Strong understanding of civil works, including tower foundations, tower erection, fencing, aprons, plinths, cabinets (including recticulation), and power installation requirements.
• Basic understanding of site design, radio planning principles, and infrastructure layout.
• Hold a valid Working-at-Height / Climbing Certificate, Vetting Status (Bidvest vetted), Driver License, Medical Certificate (OMP) and Personal Computer (Laptop).
