We are looking for a MAP Systems Engineer to come onboard in our Engineering Directorate in Frédéric LAHITETTE ’s team : a team of 10 collaborators!
Your Mission
- You will work on the Airbus Saint-Martin site, interfacing with Production, Quality and Engineering. Your main tasks will include:
- Providing technical support throughout the aircraft production cycle
- Provide technical solutions in the framework of non-conformities (NC) and perform a follow-up and analysis of the recurring points, in collaboration with the quality, the engineering center of competences, the suppliers and the partners (Airbus, Leonardo).
- Ensuring conformity with the design objectives in the context of the production cycle
- Dealing with events reported by Quality (non-conformities, queries, assembly anomalies) and following up and analyzing recurring points in cooperation with the Engineering specialists
- Maintaining the interface with the Engineering specialists from different functions but also with our main suppliers LEONARDO and AIRBUS
Your Activities
Your main activities will consist in:
- To daily support the production and quality throughout the aircraft assembly process in FAL, for system topics (hydro-mechanical, flight controls, powerplant, air system, avionics, electrical generation).
- Analyzing and answering questions raised by Quality (non-conformities), identifying recurring items and proposing solutions
- Ensuring follow-up of queries and creating concessions in coordination with the Systems Engineering specialists
- Participating in production progress meetings
- Managing priorities in collaboration with the FAL
- To ensure the technical interface with customers during the aircraft delivery process.
Since the activity is related to production needs, on-call duties may be required: On-site (weekends and bank holidays), or by phone (evenings and weekends) during closure periods.
About you
- Higher education
- 10 years Aeronautics experience
- Fluent English language to talk with customers and partners
- Background in system domain including troubleshooting
- Extensive experience in systems, aerodynamics, engines, and structures
- Good knowledge of aircraft systems design, knowledge of certification needs/constraints for system modifications
- Knowledge of industrial processes on the FAL
- IT skills: SAP PGI for AM and Litiges, SAP PAC for concessions, Office suite (Excel, Word, PPT). Knowledge of CATIA V5 would be a plus.
- Good relationship and ability to communicate with customers and colleagues
