For the "Cyber Defence" department, we are looking for an "Attack Surface Lead (w/m/d)" at the Ulm, Immenstaad, or Taufkirchen location as soon as possible.

The Cyber Defence department is responsible for protecting the organization's digital assets through comprehensive threat intelligence, continuous monitoring, and rapid incident response and forensic investigations.

This team proactively identifies, analyzes, and mitigates cyber threats while managing the organization's attack surface to reduce vulnerabilities.

You will collaborate across departments to ensure a robust security posture and resilience against evolving cyber threats.

As an "Attack Surface Lead (w/m/d)", you will be responsible for ensuring the acquisition, analysis, and distribution of cyber threat intelligence to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.

Your focus will be on leveraging data from internal and external sources, including dark web monitoring, to improve the organization's security posture and support strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Technical and operational leadership and responsibility for Attack Surface Management
• Leadership of the vulnerability management process, including continuous identification, assessment, and remediation of security vulnerabilities in systems and applications
• Monitoring of measures in Attack Surface Management to identify and reduce potential attack vectors
• Prioritization of vulnerabilities using tools like VM-Tool for efficient strategy control
• Reporting on the current status of vulnerabilities to the Head of Cyber Defence with clear insights into the risk profile and progress of measures
• Collaboration with IT, security, and business departments to ensure timely patching and closure of security gaps
• Support of internal Cyber Defence projects within the Cyber Defence department and collaboration with external service providers to further develop and improve HENSOLDT's cybersecurity capabilities and to address ad-hoc security requirements

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a similar field
• Many years of experience in Cyber Security
• Ability to analyze vulnerability data and effectively prioritize remediation measures
• Strong leadership and team management skills to ensure alignment with the organization's security goals
• Excellent communication and reporting skills to convey insights to the leadership level
