Automation Engineer (m/f/d) (Machine Safety)

We are supporting a global leader in machine safety and industrial automation in strengthening their engineering team. You will work on the design and integration of safety systems within complex industrial environments, ensuring compliance with international safety standards while supporting highly automated production processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement machine safety concepts for industrial systems
• Perform risk assessments and define safety requirements (ISO 13849 / SIL)
• Integrate safety components (sensors, switches, controllers) into automation systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software)
• Support commissioning and optimisation of safety systems

Requirements

• Background in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or similar
• Experience in industrial automation (PLC, sensors, control systems)
• Strong understanding of functional safety standards (ISO 13849, IEC 61508, SIL)
• Experience working with machinery, production lines, or plant engineering
• Fluent German + English (Both are a must)
