The industry of tomorrow needs smart systems and people to lead this technological vision. For the German subsidiary of an internationally successful corporate group (a true specialist in high-end drive solutions), we are currently looking for an Automation Engineering Manager (m/f/d).

Your workplace is the largest production plant of the group in Southern Lower Saxony (Göttingen / Hanover metropolitan region). In this key position, you will take control of the Automation Technology department and shape the technological future of the entire site.

Responsibilities

• You will take strategic and operational leadership of the Automation Technology department and actively drive the technological advancement of the plant.
• You will plan, design, and implement innovative automation solutions for assembly and handling systems, integrating modern technologies such as robotics or industrial image processing.
• You will meticulously examine existing production facilities and systematically optimize them to ensure productivity, process safety, and efficiency remain at the highest level.
• You will be responsible for complete project and resource management: planning schedules, personnel, and budgets, monitoring progress, and confidently presenting your results.
• You will work closely with internal specialist departments and external partners, overseeing the smooth commissioning of new machinery.

Qualifications

• You have successfully completed a degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology, or possess a comparable technical qualification.
• You have several years of professional experience in automation technology (preferably in mechanical or plant engineering) and have already successfully led interdisciplinary teams and projects.
• You are highly proficient in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Step7, WinCC) and ideally have practical experience in robot programming (preferably ABB).
• You excel in project management, have a good understanding of cost analysis and investment planning, and know exactly how to design complex systems.
• As a leader, you convince with conceptual thinking and excellent communication skills – as we work internationally, you also have fluent German and good English skills.
