Automation Lead (SRE / Observability / BFSI)

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Automation Lead with strong BFSI / Banking domain expertise to lead enterprise-scale automation initiatives for a major banking client.

This role is 80% Strategic / GTM / CIO-facing presentations and 20% Technical Leadership.

The ideal candidate will define and execute Automation Strategies, lead Self-Healing / Toil Reduction / Observability programs, and guide both onsite and offshore teams.

Must Have:

• 12+ years of experience leading Automation / SRE teams
• Strong Banking / BFSI domain experience (Mandatory)
• Consulting background within BFSI
• Experience presenting Automation strategies to CIOs / Enterprise LOB leaders
• Expertise in defining Automation Roadmaps across enterprise applications
• Leadership experience managing onsite + offshore teams

• Identify and automate manual production support activities
• Reduce operational toil through automation
• Build monitoring & observability platforms
• Implement SLA / SLO / SLI frameworks
• Improve reliability, scalability, MTTD, and MTTR
• Review solutions/code and guide engineering teams
• Support 1000+ applications across banking LOBs

Preferred Experience:

• On-Prem infrastructure environments
• Oracle / MSSQL / MongoDB
• Monitoring system development
• Production support
• Technical documentation

Ideal Candidate:

A senior automation strategist who can confidently influence enterprise stakeholders, define modernization strategies, and drive execution for large-scale banking automation programs.

Only serious local candidates with BFSI + Automation leadership experience.
