About the role

Our client is seeking a talented Automotive Software Engineer specializing in infotainment systems to join their team. This role requires a hands-on approach to developing and integrating software for in-car entertainment, navigation, and communication platforms. You will work closely with hardware teams and cross-functional groups to deliver robust and user-friendly infotainment solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded software development, a deep understanding of automotive communication protocols, and a passion for creating seamless user experiences within the vehicle.

Responsibilities: Develop, test, and integrate software for automotive infotainment systems. Implement features related to audio/video playback, navigation, connectivity (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi), and HMI. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure intuitive and responsive user interfaces. Work with hardware engineers to define software requirements and troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues. Optimize software performance for embedded automotive environments. Debug and resolve complex software defects. Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding standards. Integrate third-party software components and libraries. Develop and maintain documentation for software designs and implementations. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in embedded software development, preferably in the automotive industry. Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Java/Kotlin. Experience with Linux-based operating systems and embedded systems development. Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet. Experience with Android Automotive OS or other embedded infotainment platforms is a plus. Understanding of UI/UX principles in automotive applications. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Good communication skills.
