About the role
Our client is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Automotive Systems Integration Engineer to join their innovative team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from your preferred location while contributing to cutting-edge automotive technology. The successful candidate will be instrumental in integrating various automotive systems, ensuring seamless communication and optimal performance across complex vehicle architectures. You will play a crucial role in the development lifecycle, from initial concept through to testing and validation, utilizing advanced simulation and modeling tools.
Responsibilities: Integrate and validate complex automotive systems, including powertrain, chassis, infotainment, and ADAS. Develop and maintain system architecture documentation and interface specifications. Define and execute system-level testing and validation plans, both in simulation and on hardware. Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across multiple domains and suppliers. Collaborate closely with hardware and software development teams, as well as external partners, in a remote setting. Analyze performance data and identify areas for improvement in system efficiency and reliability. Contribute to the development of next-generation automotive technologies and platforms. Ensure that all integrated systems meet functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity requirements. Develop and implement model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies. Participate in cross-functional team meetings and provide regular updates on integration progress. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive systems engineering and integration. In-depth knowledge of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet). Experience with automotive system simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, CarMaker). Familiarity with AUTOSAR architecture is highly desirable. Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, powertrain control, or ADAS functions. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for automation and data analysis. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment. Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. This exciting opportunity is based in Umuahia, Abia, NG , however, it is a completely remote role.
