Automotive Technical Writer (UX Required)

Description

This is a unique opportunity to work for an American commercial vehicle OEM. You will have the chance to get up close with all aspects of the HMI system such as the infotainment and instrument cluster of all the product lines. You will be responsible for the UX writing of these vehicles and working closely with UX/UI Designers from the global Luxoft team and the clients US based team.

Responsibilities

• UX writing in native languages in at least two of the requested languages Latin American Spanish, Canadian French, English
• Text Management in Series Development
• Ensure compliance with editorial guidelines and text length constraints.
• Coordination and maintenance of text inventory, as well as creation of new text content for various digital displays (e.g., infotainment system, instrument cluster)
• On-time delivery of text content
• Translation management and coordination

Mandatory Skills

• MUST BE Fluent in French Canadian.
• MUST have about 1+ Years Background in Technical Writing
• MUST have recent experience in the Automotive Domain.
• Experience in HMI/UX specification, particularly in text and translation management as well as software localization
• Proficient in common software tools, e.g., translation software, translation memories, and databases
• Ability to read and interpret technical process diagrams (statediagrams)
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

• UX/UI knowledge and reference or experience in working with UX/UI Designers
• Setup of text strings in organized and editable way within a figma Design System using tokens and variables
• Extensive experience in writing clear, concise, and impactful short texts in compliance with editorial guidelines and text length restrictions
• Excellent in at least 2 of these languages English, Latin American Spanish and Canadian French language skills
• Strong sense of language and confident, stylistically accurate writing skills
