Avocado Pack Shed Manager - Project Supervisor

Purpose of the job:

To oversee all operational aspects of the pack shed facility.

Required Qualifications:

• Tertiary Qualification - Advantageous
• Computer literate (including excel, word, and email)
• Experience in export farm produce packing, ideally with avocados or similar cold chain crops at large scale
• Experience supervising basic workforce teams

Technical Competencies & Experience:

• Oversee pack shed building's development & construction while liaising with suppliers & contractors.
• Help install pack line and oil extrusion equipment.
• Oversee process flow and operational effectiveness.
• Ensure the construction project stays on schedule and under budget.
• Plan & budget for the amount of employees, qualified technicians, packaging supplies, and other consumables throughout the first year of packing operations.
• Maintain a secure & effective workplace by supervising and training packing employees.
• Oversee every facet of avocado packing operations, including export logistics, cold chain management, quality standards, compliance, and effective workflow.
• Keep precise records of building project milestones, packing, and inventory.
