Cloud Architect

Role Overview

The Cloud Architect / Tech Lead will drive the design, implementation, and operationalization of cloud‑native platforms and data solutions, primarily on AWS. This role requires strong hands‑on engineering depth, architectural leadership, and the ability to guide DevOps and development teams. Experience in financial services-especially lending, loan operations, and COTS platforms like Finastra LoanIQ-is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate combines cloud architecture expertise, DevOps maturity, infrastructure automation, and strong communication skills to lead cross‑functional teams in a regulated enterprise environment.

Required Skills & Experience

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS (preferred)
• EKS, EC2, VPC, ALB/NLB/MLB
• IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager
• S3, CloudFront, Route 53

DevOps & Automation

• CI/CD pipeline design and automation
• Terraform (advanced), Ansible
• Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• Monitoring & Observability frameworks

Databases & Storage

• PostgreSQL (RDS/Aurora)
• S3 data lake patterns
• Backup, DR, and HA strategies

Good to Have (Domain & Platform Experience)

• Finastra LoanIQ (infrastructure, integration, or operational experience)
• Finastra Trader Desktop
• IBM Cognos Analytics leveraging DataNet data/jobs
• Versana (loan data exchange)
• Starburst / Trino
• Experience designing catalogs, configuring connectors (Hive, Delta, S3, JDBC)
• Understanding of data federation patterns across cloud/on‑prem
• Performance tuning, cost optimization, and query governance
• Integration with enterprise identity providers and authorization frameworks
• Banking experience-especially commercial lending, loan operations, loan servicing, and credit risk data
• Understanding of loan lifecycle, facility structures, accruals, and downstream reporting
