AWS Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions. The role involves working closely with DevOps, application, and data teams to support cloud adoption, automation, and optimisation initiatives for LPL programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.)
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / CloudFormation for automated provisioning
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices for application deployment
• Monitor cloud environments using tools like CloudWatch and implement logging/alerting mechanisms
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of AWS workloads
• Perform cost optimisation and capacity planning for cloud resources
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for cloud migration, architecture design, and troubleshooting
• Support production issues and ensure system stability

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and DevOps practices (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles
• Experience in monitoring and logging frameworks

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes / EKS)
• Knowledge of AWS cost optimisation strategies and well-architected framework
• Exposure to APM/observability tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic)
• Experience working in BFS/LPL domain
• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect / DevOps) preferred
