Site Reliability Engineer (AWS Hybrid Cloud) - Johannesburg, Hybrid, 12 Month Contract
Design, automate, and optimise hybrid AWS cloud environments for high-performance enterprise systems. Drive reliability, observability, scalability via CI/CD pipelines, AWS workloads, troubleshooting Java apps, and platform engineering practices.
Requirements
• DevOps/SRE experience in AWS environments, including PCI-DSS compliant setups • CI/CD automation and infrastructure provisioning • AWS Services (EC2, RDS, EKS/ECS, Load Balancing, KMS, Secrets Manager) • AWS CDK; CI/CD Platforms (Harness, Azure DevOps, GitLab) • Observability (CloudWatch, Splunk/AppDynamics, ELK); Linux/Windows Server • Strong problem-solving, independent work, clear communication
Preferred
• Python/Bash scripting • AWS CloudFormation/Ansible • Tools like Zabbix, Keycloak, ActiveMQ, Nginx
