They run the architecture side of the CARD program. They run the design process from start to finish- end to end building a new ecosystem or updates to one. Java Cloud Solutions Architects- AWS and JAVA- expecting someone with good financial domain knowledge. AWS is a must have- other cloud is ok. People struggle with non-financial background. They need payments background ideally, at least financial. Important to know how a Payment ecosystem work, how home and auto lending works. Everything on this team is within Card Domain.

Job Description

• Expert in architecture disciplines
• Expert in architecture and design across all systems of the LOB.

Job Responsibilities

• Create complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design.
• Advises cross functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Serves as the function’s go to subject matter expert.
• Contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies.
• Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions.
• Champions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
• Provides architectural direction and guidance for current and future state platform engineering efforts.
• Work closely with cross functional teams including developers, engineers, product managers and business stakeholders.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to nontechnical audience.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10 plus years applied experience preferably in Banking domain.
• Deep understanding of Cloud Technologies, and in particular Public Cloud and AWS.
